MEETING MINUTES – February 11th, 2004

Minutes of the Regular Meeting of the Association held on at Renaissance Hotel in Asheville.  Should you have any questions, comments or corrections, please contact Bridget Downey, PHR, our Chapter Secretary.

Chapter Business:
The meeting was opened by President Renee Anderson, SPHR, who welcomed all visitors to our meeting.

Carol Rovello, our new Vice President for Programs, invited anyone with a specific skill to contact her if interested in presenting at one of our meetings.  She also announced that the newsletter is accepting final submissions for the next issue.

Katherine Unger of Mission Hospitals announced that Mission will be hosting a job fair for all positions on March 15, 2003 from 2:00 pm – 6:00 pm.

Lorraine Poe provided information on the Vocational Rehab Job Fair April 21st.  She noted that this is a good place to find new employees.  The job fair also allows businesses to let people know what their company does, and what type of jobs to train for.  Kim Moser has information. 

New members and guests were introduced.

Program Highlights:

Carol introduced presenter, Lana Crum of Right Management Consultants.  Her presentation on, “Building Personal Resilience Through Changing Times” focused on adapting and thriving through the transitions we face in a rapidly changing world.   For a copy of the program handouts, contact Lana Crum at Lana.Crum@right.com.
