Monthly Meetings:
Our fast-paced monthly luncheon meetings for human
resource professionals are held on the second Wednesday of each month.
Topics include updates, presentations, and discussions on the current
human resources issues. Our web site includes meeting opportunities and
topics.
Job Opening Notifications:
At our meetings we share information on any HR openings
in our area or region. Some are listed on our web site also.
Chapter Web Site:
Our web site is loaded with web pages devoted to HR
interests. Our navigation bar on the left side of this page offers a
glimpse of the span of HR pages available.
Networking and Recognition:
Colleagues have the advantage of exchanging ideas,
questions, and information before, during and following our regular
meetings. Our membership is broad and knowledgeable. Each member
has the opportunity to share and exchange a wealth of information to
maintain top performance as human resource professionals. Being
part of Western North Carolina HR Association provides each member
with the opportunity for professional growth and recognition.
Newsletter:
Our periodic newsletter includes current information to
help each member stay abreast of important changes in our field.
Newsletters are mailed to each member.
Membership Directory:
This is provided solely for the use of our membership
for networking purposes and is not shared with non-members.
Member Participation in Direction of our Chapter:
As a member you have the
opportunity to participate in and provide input to guide the direction
and growth of our professional chapter, as well as the opportunity to
volunteer for important leadership positions.
Certification as an HR Professional:
Accreditation information and training programs information available
online and at the monthly meetings.

Other recertification programs, member events,
and other activities not associated with a regular monthly
meeting may have additional charges.
For
Professional SHRM, Professional Non-SHRM, Associate, and Corporate
Members, your dues will include your membership registration,
attendance at the regular
monthly meetings/programs, (at least nine per year), one half-day
program offering three re-certification credits, special interest
groups, the quarterly newsletter, the members-only website (once
completed, and the discussion board.*)
If you are a Retired or Student Member, you will pay a nominal
membership dues and then pay for whatever events you register for.
You will also be able to participate in special interest groups,
member-only website, and discussion board and you will receive the
quarterly newsletter, at no additional cost.
