Welcome to the website for the
Western North Carolina Human Resources Association,
an affiliated Chapter of the Society for Human Resources Management.

We are the premier association for human resource professionals in Western North Carolina with over 230 members representing area employers.  Our Chapter began as a grassroots association and evolved as a non-profit professional organization that joined the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) in 1999.

SHRM is the world’s largest association devoted to human resource management.  Representing more than 210,000 individual members, the Society’s mission is both to serve human resource management professionals and to advance the profession.   Founded in 1948, SHRM currently has more than 550 affiliated chapters within the United States and members in more than 100 countries.  Visit SHRM Online at www.shrm.org.

This Chapter's membership provides professional development programs, seminars, networking opportunities and information concerning the continuously evolving field of human resource management.

Our Chapter is excited about the opportunity to set important goals, make new friends, and once again make a positive impact at our jobs and in our community.  Our Chapter is fortunate to have volunteers committed to "Advancing the Profession and Serving the Professional."

Should you have any questions or comments, please contact Our Chapter President, Carol Rovello.
