NC): The next regular meeting of the Western North Carolina Human
Resources Association will be held at 12 noon on Wednesday, March 12 at
Renaissance Asheville Hotel in downtown Asheville. A program on the financial
aspects of human resources will be presented by John Sherlock, Ed.D., an
assistant professor with the Western Carolina University graduate program in
human resources.
Sherlock was formerly the chief operating officer of the Personal
Communications Industry Association in Alexandria, VA, a global high-tech
services organization serving businesses such as GE, Motorola and IBM. He holds
an Ed.D. in Human Resource Development from George Washington University, an MBA
in Marketing and Accounting from the University of Maryland, and a BS in Public
and Business Administration from James Madison University.
The program is open to members, students and anyone interested in
learning more about human resource- and management-related issues.
Reservations are required by 5pm Friday, March 7 and can be made

255-1133. The cost to attend the lunch meeting is $16 for members and students,
$20 for nonmembers, and includes lunch (a vegetarian option is available by
request when making reservations).
