 COMBATING STRESS TOPIC OF PROGRAM

(Asheville, NC): The regular monthly meeting of the Western North Carolina Human Resources Association will be held at 12 noon on Wednesday, May 8, Best Western-West, 275 Smokey Park Hwy, Asheville. Featured speaker is Patrick "Pat" Donovan, therapist for the Working Well Employee Assistance Program. His presentation, “A Stone Age Approach to Modern Day Stress,” is designed to take people back to basics in order to lead more sane and productive lives.

            Donovan has 17 years experience as a therapist in the mental health field, with a primary focus on business and industry. He currently services 45 companies and teaches workshops on topics ranging from stress management to workplace violence.                       

            The program is open to members, students and anyone interested in learning more about human resource- and management-related issues.  Reservations are required by 5pm Friday, May 3 and can be made by contacting Deborah Stewart at Charter Communications, 828/209-2206 or dstewart@chartercom.com.  The cost to attend the lunch meeting is $16.00 for members; $20.00 for nonmembers.
