Speaker
The speaker was Karen Caruso, CEO,
Mind Your Business, Inc. Karen
stated that first and foremost, you need to know who is being brought
into your business. That doesn’t necessarily mean that you can’t hire
someone with a criminal background, just that you need to be aware of
it and make an informed decision. Karen recommended looking at a
person’s address history, credit reports if they are handling money,
an MVR check for employees who drive, previous employment
verifications, and educational background (this is the most falsified
and easiest to verify).
Job Openings
There is an opening at Alcan Packaging for an HR
Generalist and a Career Counselor at UNCA.

in February.
