WNCHRA Minutes
January 9th, 2008
Meeting was held at the Broadmoor Clubhouse.
Carol opened the meeting by welcoming everyone.
The new dues structure is in place and 2008
dues are payable no later than January 31st. The new
dues structure includes lunches, one half-day seminar, annual fee,
Special Interest Groups, and members only section of the website.
Carol presented the new by-laws and offered a
chance for questions or concerns. Jon Yarbrough made a motion to
approve, and Charles Martinez seconded the motion. All were in
favor.
The Vendor of the month was introduced by Frank
Pomeroy. The Vendor was Beth Burdick, with “Shop Smart”, which is a
consultation service for people who are shopping for loans. There
is also phone service follow up.
Frank also announced that Zip Lawrence is the
recipient of the annual scholarship.
The group stood up to introduce themselves.
Frank Pomeroy announced that he is leaving Comforce. Sonia
announced that the Manufacturing Special Interest Group needs a
leader.
Kim Moser presented a plaque to Carol to thank
her for her leadership over the past year.
Jon then introduced Kathy Wollum with Scott
Benefits Services to review results of North Carolina and Regional
Benefits Surveys from 2007. Their website is
scottins.com
The next meeting in February will also be at
the Broadmoor.
