Program Coordinator at AB Tech. They presented on the WorkKeys
Program.
WorkKeys profiles, assesses, and classifies
jobs. A Profiler can come to a business to spend time with Subject
Matter Experts and the employee in order to get an accurate
description of the job. The job is then rated on several factors and
a profile is created. Each profile costs around $1,000 - $2,500.
Profiling jobs can help identify gaps in
businesses and employee skills. Then the employees can be trained or
new employees who more closely meet the qualifications can be hired.
Shelly White then talked about how to use
WorkKeys for with clients (students). The students are issued a
“Career Readiness Certificate” that clearly states the skills they
have been trained on.
Meeting
